              On 26 May 2017 the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs, together with the Pan Pacific and Southeast Asia Women’s Association of Thailand under the Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen has jointly organized the afternoon discussion, entitled “Women in Media”, in which about 110 participants who are foreign ambassadors to Thailand, spouses of ambassadors and executives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, businesswomen, career women, housewives, and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand took part.

             The discussion was led by the guest speaker, Mr. Pichai Chuensuksawadi, an advisor to Frontier Myanmar, a veteran journalist and a former editor-in-chief of the Bangkok Post. Madame Juli Sekiguchi-Drofenik, spouse of the Ambassador of Austria to Thailand and an expert with extensive training and development from a prestigious international organization, and Miss Kevin Doris Ejon, partner of the Irish Ambassador to Thailand and a Ugandan investigative radio and TV journalist, who continues actively reporting the situation in Uganda and beyond, also took part in the panel discussion with Ambassador Nongnuth Petcharatana, Dean of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs,  as the moderator.
