The Overseas Posting English Programme (OPEP) is conducted annually by the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) with the objective of enhancing the English communication skills of support staff of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The programme offers a wide range of interactive activities and course materials to ensure that participants are able to communicate fluently and confidently in English for both daily life and professional contexts before overseas postings.

On 2 February 2026, the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) and the International Studies Center (ISC), together with the Prince Saud Al Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies (IDS), co-organised the 2nd Saudi Arabia – Thailand Academic Dialogue in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. H.E. Mr. Thanop Panyapattanakul, Ambassador attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Dean of DVIFA, and H.E. Dr. Moshobab AlKahtani, Director-General of IDS, delivered the opening remarks. They commended the use of this forum to review the progress made in Thailand-Saudi Arabia bilateral relations in multiple dimensions, particularly in trade and investment. Both sides were keen to maintain momentum and to explore potential areas for further collaboration, including more exchanges between their respective diplomatic institutes.

On 26 January 2026, Lieutenant Sorawut Preedidilok, Minister attached to Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), officially opened the 3rd Diplomatic Workshop for New Diplomats from Myanmar. The workshop took place during 25 - 30 January 2026 and welcomed 33 participants. Dr. Zaw Linn Maung, Director of the Minister's Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, led the delegation to Thailand, which included 30 new Myanmar diplomats and 2 facilitators for their diplomatic training. In the evening, Mr. Vorapun Srivoranart, Deputy Director-General of the Department of East Asian Affairs, hosted a welcome dinner for the delegation and underscored the strong cordial ties between Thailand and Myanmar.

On 4 December 2025, Mr. Chuchart Jirojkul, Minister Counsellor and Acting Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), welcomed Mr. Javier de Cicco, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic to Thailand, together with his delegation. The two sides discussed possibilities for collaboration between DVIFA and the National Foreign Service Institute (ISEN) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of diplomatic training between the two institutes on 1 September 2025.

On 24 November 2025, Mr. Chuchart Jirojkul, Minister Counsellor and Acting Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs, welcomed Ms. Barbara Noira Solani, Minister Counsellor (Information, Social and Cultural Affairs) of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to Thailand, together with her delegation, for an introductory meeting. The two sides exchanged information and best practices on the training programs offered by their respective diplomatic institutes. In particular, the application of technology and AI into their learning modules. They also discussed possibilities for collaboration between the two diplomatic institutes.
