From 25 August to 1 September 2024, the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) organised the 2024 Knowledge of Diplomacy (KOD) course for foreign and Thai diplomats. The course was inaugurated by Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who also gave a presentation on Thailand’s Foreign Policy. Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of the DVIFA, extended a warm welcome and hosted a dinner in honour of the participants.

On August 26, 2024, Mrs. Thitiporn Jirasawat, Director of Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs, presided over the opening ceremony of the 18th Advanced Oral Communication Course (AOCC) for the year 2024. The course participants included senior government officials at the specialist level or higher from eight agencies: (1) Royal Thai Police; (2) The Secretariat of the House of Representatives; (3) The Secretariat of The Prime Minister; (4) Office of the Council of State; (5) Office of The Public Sector Development Commission; (6) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs; (7) The Ministry of Energy and (8) The Tourism Authority of Thailand.

On 23 August 2024, Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) participated in the Retreat of Diplomatic Academies in Southeast Asia held in Manila. The Retreat was hosted by the Foreign Service Institute of the Philippines and attended by ten representatives from members countries of ASEAN.

The Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) has consistently evolved the English Programme for Home-Based Staff to match the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ training needs. This programme is designed to improve the English language skills, knowledge, and abilities of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ home-based staff, empowering them to communicate more confidently in English and perform their roles more effectively.

On 23 July 2024, Mr. Phubadi La-or Ngern, Ambassador attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ms. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, the DVIFA Director, had a meeting with Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulaziz Alsuhaibani, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Thailand, on the collaboration between the Prince Saud Al Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies (ISD) and the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA).
