On 27 August 2026, Mr. Chuchart Jirojkul, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), presided over the closing ceremony of the Intensive English Language Course for Officers from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (IELC) and presented certificates to 17 participants from the Lao PDR, who attended the course from 18 to 27 August 2026 in Bangkok.

On 21 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and H.E. Mr. José Manuel Albares Bueno, Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic School (Escuela Diplomática) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain. The MOU aims to promote cooperation in the training and development of diplomatic personnel and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience between relevant agencies of the two countries. It also marks another important milestone in strengthening relations and cooperation between Thailand and Spain.

Mr. Chuchart Jirojkul, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), attended the 3rd Retreat of ASEAN Diplomatic Academies & Institutes (RADA), held from 2 - 3 September 2026 in Manila, Republic of the Philippines. The 3rd RADA hosted by the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines brought together representatives from diplomatic academies and institutes of all 11 ASEAN Member States, with Timor-Leste participating for the first time as ASEAN’s newest member.
