On 6^th November 2019, an opening ceremony for the Oral Communication Course (OCC) batch 1/2020 was organized by the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Thai government officials from 18 agencies are attending the course from 6^th November until 29^th November 2019.  The OCC course is designed to develop their proficiency in giving presentations in English and participating in English at meetings and comprises two key components:

          From 6^th - 22^nd November 2019, the first component held at the DVIFA includes both theory practice of presentation skills as well as the skills needed to attend and participate in international meetings.

          From 25^th - 29^th November 2019, in the second component the participants will attend a workshop in Singapore at the SEAMEO Regional Language Centre (RELC).  They are required to participate intensively in group and individual presentation practices  as well as to take part in a simulated international meeting under the topic of “Sustainable Development Goals: Clean Water and Sanitation in Asia”
