On 15 November 2019 the International Studies Center (ISC) organized the “ISC Young Scholars Roundtable (YSR)” which serves as a forum for exchanges of views on issues of international affairs between diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and young scholars of the well-known universities of Thailand.  In this round, the topic of discussion was on “Review of current geopolitical landscape”.

          On this occasion, Dr. Anuson Chinvanno, the ISC’s Director introduced the ISC and the objectives for its reviving as to address the changes of geopolitical landscape and to promote networks with academic circle domestically and internationally. The ISC aims at gaining inputs on international affairs from scholars in order to provide further recommendation for the conduct of foreign policy of the Ministry.

           In the discussion, participants widely exchanged their views and comments on such issues of international affairs as China’s role in Asia-Pacific, the U.S. – Chinese relations, roles of major powers, and the impact of technological advancement on international affairs.
