On 18 - 19 January 2020, the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs led a group of participants attending the MFA’s Training Programme for Students from Thailand’s Southern Border Provinces for 2020 to Ayudhaya Province. During their visit to this historical site, the Chaosampraya National Museum and Kudeechofah Musjid, the students learnt more about Thai history, the philosophy of sufficiency economy and local Muslim lifestyles in central Thailand.
The participants had the opportunity to exchange their views and perspectives on social and historical developments of Muslim communities in central Thailand since the Ayudhaya period. Nowadays, Kudeechofah Musjid serves as a community development model that is recognized for its successful application of the philosophy of sufficiency economy.
