On 19 December 2023, the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), Ministry of Foreign Affair of Thailand, in cooperation with the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy (HDA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, organized a lecture and workshop on “Soft Power Diplomacy of Hungary” and “Foreign Policy Strategy of Central Europe” delivered by Dr. Adam Imre Szucs, Director-General of the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy.

          During the welcoming remarks, Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs, refered this event as a good opportunity to learn about Hungary and its strategic role in diplomacy.

          This event is considered the first activity held under the framework of the MOU on Cooperation between the DVIFA and HDA, signed in September last year, to formalize and deepen a partnership in the field of diplomatic training and academic exchanges. Also the event serves as a commemorative activity for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Hungary.
