On 15 December 2023, after the conclusion of the 49th International Forum on Diplomatic Training (IFDT) hosted by the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there is the study visit for Deans and Directors of Diplomatic Academies and Institutes of International Relations from 46 institutes in 41 countries to the neighbouring Phra Nakorn Sri Ayutthya Province, the ancient capital of Thailand, to foster knowledge about Thai history and culture.

          The study tour starts off with a visit to the Chaosampraya National Museum to view the ancient goldware exhibition during the Ayutthaya Period (1350 – 1767), Wat Phra Si Sanphet, the former Royal Temple of Ayutthaya, located within the Auytthaya Historical Park, and the Arts of the Kingdom Museum where participants witness the arts and crafts exhibition under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother.

          The study visit yields benefits for Thailand to create network with her friends and impress them with Thailand’s rich history and culture. At the same time, IFDT participants can widen their knowledge and perception about Thailand, knowing and understanding Thailand more, and sharing with their friends and families back home.
