          On 27th May 2022, Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, the Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), assigned Dr. Narat Vidyananda, Minister Counsellor, to preside over the closing ceremony of the Oral Communication Course (OCC) 2022. During his closing remarks, he congratulated the participants and expressed his appreciation for their active participation and cooperative attitude throughout the course.

          The main purpose of the course was to enhance the participants’ English fluency and boost their confidence when speaking in public. Particular attention was given to making presentations and preparing the trainees to participate in international meetings. The course offered practical assistance through subjects such as Presentation Skills, Fundamental Skills for Meetings, Speech Writing, Speech Delivery, Being an Effective MC and The Role of a Moderator.

          The 120-hour OCC course ran from 2nd May - 27th May 2022 at the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs. Throuhgout, the course was conducted using a learner-centered approach. The participants benefitted from a number of practical activities as well as practice through simulations focused on attending international meetings.

          On the last day of the training, the participants demonstrated what they had learned in their final presentations and while expressing their opinions during a simulation in which they were assigned roles as organisation representatives at an international conference. All participants actively participated in the discussion on the issues assigned to jointly come to conclusions and find ways of cooperating in the future.

          Strict measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were observed.
