On 3 May 2023, Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) met with Mr. Philippe Aubert, Programme Officer, Division for Multilateral Diplomacy, United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Jiadan Yu, Officer of UNITAR, and officials concerned from the DVIFA.

               During the meeting, Mr. Aubert gave an update on the structure, courses and activites of UNITAR. He also expressed UNITAR’s readiness to support and cooperate with the DVIFA on the promotion of diplomatic trainings and human resource development, including the 49^th International Forum on Diplomatic Training (IFDT) which Thailand will host for the first time in December this year. Director Thitiporn expressed appreciation for the long-standing cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNITAR both in terms of bilateral and multilateral diplomatic trainings. Both sides also used this opportunity to exchange views on diplomatic skills development, learning management, trends, opportunities as well as challenges of diplomatic trainings and the application of digital technology.
