          On 3 February 2021 His Excellency Mr. Panyarak Poolthup, Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia and His Excellency Mr. Tean Samnang, President of the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the NIDIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia. The ceremony was witnessed by His Excellency Professor Chhem Kieth Rethy, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister of Cambodia, as the Guest of Honour, officials from relevant departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia and the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh.  

          The objective of the MOU is to promote collaboration in the field of human resource development, diplomatic training, and academic exchanges between the two countries. The MOU signing ceremony is marked as one of the commemorative activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Cambodia.

          On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Panyarak Poolthup gave a special lecture on “Cambodia - Thailand Diplomatic Relations” as the first activity under this MOU. The lecture was attended by about 70 Cambodian officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia as well as officials from other Cambodian government agencies and students.
