On 6 May 2021, the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs, together with the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, co-organized a virtual lecture on "Digital Diplomacy: Kosovo's Best Practice". The lecture was delivered by three distinguished Kosovar speakers, namely Mrs. Ulpiana Lama, Charge d’ affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo to Thailand, Mrs. Sami Kastrati, and Mr. Enis Xhemaili, officials and experts in digital diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo. Participants, around 50, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand attended the lecture.

The objective of the lecture was to allow the Thai participants to gain insight into Kosovo’s best practices in mobilizing all existing resources to implement the country’s national digital diplomacy strategy. Successfully engaging all types of Kosovar citizens to help promote the country to international audiences by using all types of social media’s platforms has been claimed to help Kosovo be well-known in the international community.

The lecture has marked one of several activities under the Memorandum of Understanding between the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Academy of the Republic of Kosovo, signed in 2017, aimed at enhancing cooperation in the field of diplomatic training and development as well as academic and research activities between Thailand and Kosovo.
