The Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs has been developing and organising the English Programme for Home-based Staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs annually. In 2026, the programme was conducted from 12 March to 22 May 2026 (twice a week), to enhance the competency of the supporting staff in their English-related work, allowing them to perform their duties more effectively, as well as building their confidence in using English for communication in a variety of situations.

On 22 May 2026, Mr. Chuchart Jirojkul, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), presided over the closing ceremony and congratulated 15 participants from 9 departments within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who had completed the training, commending their dedication and commitment to their continuous self-improvement. He encouraged the participants to apply the skills acquired throughout the programme in both their work and lives, emphasizing that English requires constant practice, and hoped that all participants would become the driving force in supporting the Ministry as well as utilizing their linguistic abilities to effectively support its mission.

This annual training programme consists of classroom-based training sessions and English Workshop seminars, in which the participants engage in a variety of activities, including public presentations, academic writing, and communication in government official contexts. These activities were designed to improve the participants' competency and experience through practical scenarios. Moreover, the programme provided an excellent opportunity to build networks for the participants from different departments within the Ministry.
