On 23 March 2026, Mr. Chuchart Jirojkul, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), presided over the closing ceremony of the Oral Communication Course (OCC) 2026 and presented certificates to the participants, at the TK. Palace Hotel and Convention. There were a total of 17 participants from 17 organisations took part in the programme. The participants were civil servants at the professional level or above, and state enterprise employees at equivalent levels, including 2 expert-level officers, 2 junior executive-level officers, 6 senior professional-level officers, and 7 professional-level officers.

               On this occasion, the Director of the DVIFA congratulated all participants on completing the programme and commended their dedication, persistence, and continuous refinement of their English skills throughout the 4 weeks of the course. As a result, participants were able to show increased confidence and a clear improvement in English proficiency. He expressed confidence that the acquired knowledge and experiences would be beneficial to their work in the future.

               The Oral Communication Course (OCC) 2026 was held from 23 February to 23 March 2026 (on every working day). The objectives of this programme were to enhance important theoretical and practical communication skills for mid-career government officials, including language for meetings, presentations, public speaking, the discussion of contemporary issues, and speech writing. In addition, a study visit to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific headquarter in Bangkok was conducted to expand participants’ knowledge of global issues, and to understand the organisation’s international responsibilities and objectives.

               In addition to imparting these essential English communication skills, the programme also encouraged participants from diverse organisations and backgrounds, including government sectors and state enterprises, to exchange knowledge, experiences, and opinions, which contribute to the improvement of critical thinking skills and broaden viewpoints, building networks between organisations, and strengthening collaboration between agencies in the future.
