On 18 August 2020, Ms. Lada Phumas received H.E. Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Thailand.  During their consultative meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the current global situation, regional cooperation frameworks, Thai-Russian relations and the Covid-19 pandemic in Russia. They also discussed ways and means to strengthen cooperation between the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and explored the possibility of creating a framework aimed at enhancing cooperation in a more concrete manner.  

               After the meeting, the Director took the Russian Ambassador and his delegation on a tour of the Institute, where they met with lecturers and participants on the Foreign Affairs Executive Programme, which is being held from 15 July to 30 September 2020.
