On 21 March 2024, Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand, shared insights on Thailand’s foreign policy during the fireside chat session with 53 junior diplomats and officials from various governmental agencies of Singapore from the Foreign Service Basic Programme of the Diplomatic Academy of Singapore during their visit to Thailand.

The delegates were welcomed by Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) and given a briefing on Thailand-Singapore bilateral relations. The delegation also engaged in a networking session with Thai junior diplomats.

These activities, organised by the DVIFA, are part of the cooperation under the Thailand-Singapore Civil Service Exchange Programme (CSEP). Since 2002, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and Singapore have exchanged visits of their newly recruited diplomats under CSEP 15 times, aiming to provide opportunities for their diplomats to exchange their views and experiences in diplomacy and international affairs, and to create networks among themselves.
