On 23 February 2022, Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) held a meeting with H.E. Ms. Ana Maria Prieto Abad, Ambassador of the Embassy of Colombia to Thailand. During the meeting, both sides discussed relevant issues and share views on the running of the Spanish Language Course for Thai Officials in 2021 and the implementation of a similar course in 2022. They also discussed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the DVIFA and the Augusto Ramírez Ocampo Diplomatic Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, with a view to both sides undertaking more concrete collaboration.

          At the conclusion of the meeting, Mrs. Thitiporn invites the Colombian side to participate a number of activities which will be organised by the DVIFA, such as the Knowledge of Diplomacy (KOD) course to be held in August 2022, and the International Forum on Diplomatic Training (IFDT), The 49th Annual Meeting of Deans and Directors of Diplomatic Academies and Institutes of International Relations, which will held in Bangkok in 2023.
