Opening Ceremony for the 2022 Knowledge of Diplomacy (KOD): Diplomacy and Sustainability in the Rapidly Fast-Changing World

               On 30th August 2022, Her Excellency Ms. Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, Ambassador attached to the Ministry and Dean of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), presided over the opening ceremony of the 2022 Knowledge of Diplomacy (KOD): Diplomacy and Sustainability in the Rapidly Fast-Changing World (online format). Her Excellency delivered the opening remarks reaffirming Thailand’s commitment as an active and responsible member of the international community and hoping to share Thailand’s best practices on modern diplomacy and its contribution towards sustainability.

               At the outset of the program, Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) conveyed her welcoming address to the 30 mid-career participants from 20 countries which are 17 alumni countries and 3 new countries, namely Hungary, Kazakhstan, and Nauru.

               The 2022 KOD course is organized from 30 August to 22 September 2022, every Tuesday and Thursday from 13.00 - 16.00 hrs. The course provides Thailand’s overview of diplomatic and international affairs, promotes international partnership, and strengthen cooperation to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.
