On 8 September 2022, the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) launched a “DVIFA Sharing Knowledge Programme” by organising a panel discussion “Think Like A Lawyer” in collaboration with the Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs (DTLA) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and via Webex Meetings. 

Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of the DVIFA, gave welcoming remarks and attended this event.

The discussion was led by Ms. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Director-General of the DTLA who provided an overview of the DTLA’s work as well as of the concepts of legal thinking followed by a discussion among the panellists comprising (1) Mr. Songchai Chaipatiyut, Deputy Director-General (2) Mr. Rutchabhoom Boonrawd, Director, Legal Affairs Division (3) Ms. Pakvipa Ahviphan, Director, Treaty Division (4)  Mrs. Urasee Thiratangsathira Jeong, Counsellor, Boundary Division (5) Mr. Panupat Chavananikul, Counsellor, Boundary Division and Mr. Varapote Chensavasdijai,  Secretary to the Department as a moderator. 

This panel discussion aimed to empower the Ministry’s personnel with legal thinking and knowledge which not only helps them to understand legal consequences but also can be practically useful in many contexts, including everyday life.

“DVIFA Sharing Knowledge Programme” enables and encourages reskilling and upskilling as part of its commitment to lifelong learning at all levels of the Ministry’s personnel. As the world keeps changing, lifelong learning is the key to success.
