The Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) is committed to developing English and foreign language skills for officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) at all levels and across all departments. For support staff officers preparing for overseas postings, DVIFA organises the Overseas Posting English Programme, with the aim of enhancing English proficiency and preparing participants for their duties abroad. The course focuses on practical issues and communication skills relevant to real-life professional settings.

On 14 November 2024, DVIFA officially launched the 2025 Overseas Posting English Programme. Ms. Sairoong Dhamacharoen, Minister Counsellor and Representative of the Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), presided over the opening ceremony. She emphasised the importance of English proficiency for officers posted overseas and encouraged participants to make the most of their learning experience while on the course to improve their skills independently beyond the course.

The opening session also featured a special talk titled “Sharing Experiences of English Language Learning” delivered by Ms Arpakorn Nia-Un, Second Secretary at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel. She shared insights on learning English both in the classroom and through self-study, along with her real-world experiences using English in the field as a support officer abroad.

The training course was conducted from 14 November 2024 to 27 February 2025, held once or twice a week, totalling 138 training hours. A total of 39 participants from 19 government agencies took part, divided into two separate groups.
