On 23 September 2021, Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) presided over the closing ceremony of the Intensive Language Course (ILC) that ran from 16th August to 24th September 2021, Monday to Friday 09.00 - 16.00 hrs. In total there were 26 participants from various government agencies that took part in this course, which was designed to further develop English language and communicative skills for government officials to apply in their workplace.

          During her closing remarks, Director Wiraka congratulated the 26 participants and urged all of them to continue practice and make use of their newly acquired English and professional skills. Ms. Moodhitaporn also encouraged them to keep improving their confidence while using English. She reminded the participants that in addition to the training, this course helped to create new bonds of friendship, and to expand their network of contacts in order to promote future cooperation among their organizations. While this course was the first ILC to be held entirely online, all of the participants were able to have ample time learning and communicating in English during the course. The improvements in the participants’ confidence and their ability to effectively communicate in English were excellent. The course met the desired objectives and the overall feedback was a success.
