          On 21 September 2021, the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs organized the 2nd special online lecture on the topic “Savings and Investments” delivered by Mr. Kasate Chaiwanpen, Executive Vice President and Mr. Natakit Karnkriangkrai, Institutional Private Fund Marketing Officer, Kasikorn Asset Management Company Limited.  This special online lecture is part of the Sharing Knowledge Programme.  Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) delivered a welcome speech.

          The speakers gave an overview of different types of savings and investments, emphasizing planning for spending, savings and investment in a systematic way. This also includes reducing risks associated with finance and investment, allocating money for short-term and long-term goals.  This planning will help empower government officials and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’staff to ensure their financial stability during each phase of their life.  More than 30 people attended the special online lecture.

          At the end of his presentation, the participants keenly asked questions about various types of investments.  The speakers tried to answer all the questions and shared their experiences, reiterating the significance of systematic planning and analysis of each type of savings and investments.

          The Devawongse Varopakarn Institute launched the DVIFA Sharing Knowledge Programme with a view to empowering and providing the Ministry’s officials with skills, knowledge and mindsets necessary for achieving their self-development through lifelong learning, as well as strengthening the Ministry’s image as a learning organization.  Over decades, the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs has provided the public with both academic and other knowledge for their performance of duty to cover various aspects of their life and their family.
