The Devawongse Varpakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) has a key mission of providing skill based and academic services primarily to government officials and public sector personnel. One significant aspect is to provide continuous English language skills trainings. During May and June of 2024, the Oral Communication Course (OCC) was conducted to enhance English language proficiencies in communication, public speaking, presentation, and meeting skills for the participants.

               The OCC course ran 4 weeks from 7th May to 9th June 2014. It hosted 23 government officials from 15 different agencies. The training included classroom sessions, site visits to public and private sector organizations, and a practical 3-day English language workshop in Nakhon Pathom province.

               On Friday 7th June 2014, Dr. Narat Vidyananda, the Minister Counselor, represented the director of DVIFA to preside over the closing ceremony of the OCC 2024. During the ceremony, Dr. Vidyananda commended the participants for their continuous efforts throughout the course in their self-improvement and skills development, thus enabling them to more confidently utilize their English language skills in public speaking events, presentation deliveries, and meetings. Furthermore, the networking established among the participants during this course is expected to facilitate future collaboration and coordination among them. Dr. Vidyananda then concluded the OCC with the awarding of certificates to the participants.
