On 19 July 2023, Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs, together with Dr. Narat Vidyananda and Dr. Walaya Jariyadham, Minister-Counsellor, welcomed Dr. Rong Ying, Vice President and Senior Research Fellow, along with Mr. Bao Zhipeng, Assistant Research Fellow, and Ms. Pang Jiayuan, Program Officer, from China Institute of International Studies (CIIS).

          During the visit, the delegation exchanged information about their respective organisations’ profile and views on the role of think tanks in foreign affairs. They also discussed possibilities to further promote cooperation under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two institutes in 2017 such as exchanges of visits between academics from both sides, organizations of joint workshops or seminars on a bilateral basis or as part of the Global Center for Mekong Studies (GCMS) network.
