On 15 November 2024, Ms. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), virtually attended the Conference on the Future of Diplomacy and Diplomatic Services organized in Moscow by the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Federation under its 2024 BRICS chairmanship.

The conference brought together representatives from Foreign Service Academies and Embassies and academics from leading Russian institutions to discuss and exchange views on enhancing diplomacy in response to the current international landscape.

During the meeting, the DVIFA Director shared Thailand’s perspectives on diplomatic training under the topic “Inclusivity in Diplomacy and Diplomatic Training.” She emphasized that inclusive engagement, a principle embraced by the DVIFA, could be a key to modern diplomatic training. This approach not only fosters the acquisition of knowledge, diverse perspectives, and a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by diplomats but also facilitates the building of sustainable networks and effective collaboration with various stakeholders. It enables diplomats to address today’s multi-dimensional challenges, which involve a wide range of actors.
