               On 26 June 2024, Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) attended the 14th Coordinating Meeting of the Civil Service Exchange Programme (CSEP) between Singapore and Thailand. Within the CSEP framework, DVIFA serves as the primary agency for enhancement of cooperation in personnel development within the Foreign Service sector between Thailand and Singapore.

               On this occasion, Director Thitiporn had a meeting with Ms. Iris Chen, Vice Dean, Diplomatic Academy of Singapore on 25 June 2024 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. Both sides emphasized the CSEP as a significant mechanism for exchanging views and experiences, as well as strengthening networks between Thai and Singaporean diplomats. They agreed to continue regular exchange visits between junior officials. Furthermore, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in diplomatic training for future diplomats, focusing on addressing new international challenges such as climate change, digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

               Since 2002, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and Singapore have exchanged visits of junior civil service officers under the CSEP cooperation framework 15 times.
