On 23 July 2024, Mr. Phubadi La-or Ngern, Ambassador attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ms. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, the DVIFA Director, had a meeting with Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulaziz Alsuhaibani, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Thailand, on the collaboration between the Prince Saud Al Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies (ISD) and the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA).

               During the meeting, both parties exchanged information about their diplomatic training courses for their Foreign Service officers and government officials. They determine to enhance cooperation on diplomatic training and academic exchanges between the two institutes under the Political and Consular Committee of the Saudi-Thai Coordination Council (STCC). The areas of cooperation include exchanges of participation in short-term courses and academic activities on the topics of mutual interest. These initiatives aim to strengthen relations, enhance understanding of each country and region, and build networks between diplomats from both sides.

               In addition, the Thai side welcomes Saudi Arabia's participation in DVIFA’s 2024 Knowledge of Diplomacy Training Course, scheduled to be organized in August this year.
