On 26 May 2023, Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Eduardo Paes Saboia, Secretary of Asia and the Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) and the Rio Branco Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil on Mutual Cooperation for the Training of Diplomats at the 3rd Political Consultations between Thailand and Brazil at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Brasilia.

               The MOU aims to strengthen cooperation in the field of diplomatic training and human resource development through various activities including the exchange of information related to training programs, conferences, seminars and academic events organised by the respective institutes, exchange of publications, as well as the exchange of experiences and views related to international trends and advancement in training, study and research in diplomacy

               This MOU on diplomatic training cooperation is the 11th MOU that the DVIFA has with other diplomatic training/foreign institutes. Rio Branco Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil is the first diplomatic training institute in Latin America to have the MOU with the DVIFA.
