On 23 February 2026, Ms. Piyaporn Juntarat, Senior Professional Level Human Resource Officer and Head of the Foreign Language Centre, Representative of the Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), presided over the opening ceremony of the Oral Communication Course (OCC) 2026 at the Activity Room on the 8th floor of DVIFA. There were a total of 17 participants from 17 organisations taking part in the programme. The participants were civil servants at the professional level or above, and state enterprise employees at equivalent levels, including 2 expert-level officers, 2 executive-level officers, 6 senior professional-level officers, and 7 professional-level officers.

Ms. Piyaporn welcomed the participants and noted with pleasure that several of them who had previously studied in the Intensive Language Course (ILC) were joining the OCC to further improve their English communication skills. She also pointed out the benefits of having participants from different backgrounds, since this would help open the door to greater knowledge and development through sharing experiences and discussions. She hoped that participants would gain valuable skills and utilise them in practical ways in the future, along with establishing new networks across different government organisations.

The Oral Communication Course runs from 23 February to 23 March 2026. The programme content and activities have 3 main objectives. First, developing English communication skills used in public speaking, presentations, and participating in meetings confidently and effectively. Second, learning the roles, missions, and operations of the United Nations, as well as gaining fresh perspectives on international cooperation in the field of sustainable development issues. Third, encouraging participants to apply the knowledge and experience gained, through individual activities, group activities, presentations, and simulated professional meetings.
