On 1 September 2025, Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Mr. Fernando Brun, Secretary for International Economic Relations of Argentina, and Mr. Juan Manuel Navarro, Deputy Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Argentina, jointly witnessed the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and the National Foreign Service Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Republic of Argentina. The MOU was signed by H.E. Mr. Krit Tankanarat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Argentine Republic, and H.E. Mr. Marcelo Heriberto Buffetti, Director of the National Foreign Service Institute (Argentina), following the 6th Political Consultations (PC) and Bilateral Economic Consultations (BEC) hosted by Argentina
in Buenos Aires.

The Memorandum of Understanding aims to develop cooperation as regards the training and professional development of diplomatic personnel in the field of foreign policy and international relations through the exchange of knowledge and experiences via various activities, such as participation in training courses, conducting academic seminars, exchange of publications, and organization of lectures on various topics.

DVIFA and the National Foreign Service Institute (Argentina) have enjoyed good relations through various knowledge sharing activities. In 2023, both sides jointly organized a lecture on Thailand-Argentina bilateral relations and opportunities for mutual cooperation. In addition, in 2016 and 2023, Argentine diplomats participated in the Knowledge of Diplomacy (KOD), an international training program in the field of diplomacy and international affairs that DVIFA has continuously organized since 2013.
