Special Session under the “DVIFA Knowledge Sharing” Project on “Etiquette and Protocol of the United Arab Emirates”

               On 22 August 2025, the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), organized a special session under the “DVIFA Knowledge Sharing” project on “Etiquette and Protocol of the United Arab Emirates.” The session was conducted by Ms. Nada Hassan, Head of Political, Media, and Diplomatic General Affairs Section, Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Bangkok. The event was held at the Recreation Room, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sri Ayudhya Building. It was attended by participants from MFA officials and participants of the Advanced Oral Communication Course (AOCC) Intake 19 organized by the DVIFA.

               During this session, Ms. Hassan shared her expertise on Emirati etiquette and customs including greetings, exchanging business cards, gift-giving, and commonly used Arabic phrases in diplomatic communication. On this occasion, the participants also experienced various dimensions of Emirati culture and practices, such as Arabic coffee tradition, the use of perfumes, traditional desserts, and Henna Hand Art. Creative group activities were also conducted to strengthen teamwork skills.

               All participants expressed keen interest and appreciation for the valuable knowledge and experiences gained during the session, which can be applied to enhance mutual understanding and foster stronger relations between Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.
