The Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), in cooperation with the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), organised the training course on Diplomatic Knowledge of Diplomacy and Development Diplomacy for the Newly Recruited Diplomats from Cambodia from 28 to 31 May 2024.
Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), and Lt. Sorawud Preededilok, Minister attached to Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), welcome the participants at the opening of the programme and underlined the importance of this training course which aimed to share the knowledge of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) and development diplomacy, the cooperation between Thailand and Cambodia, as well as to provide the opportunity for network creating among young diplomats from Thailand and Cambodia.
The programme also included study visits to the Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Study Centre, Consular Affairs Department, with a briefing about the digital transformation and application of innovation to consular services, and Wongpanit Suvarnabhumi Recycle Station Co., Ltd., community-based company for sustainable environment protection
This training activity is under the framwork of the MOU between the DVIFA and National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, signed in 2024.
